My Dear Ik It has been difficult to bring myself round to writing this. It is because I still cannot believe that you are no more. You were full of life, and then suddenly nothing…………….. An Iroko, an Icon, fell………. We became family through our mutual in-laws; and then we became friends We had chats that would span from family, through professional issues to the mundane You were, as already attested to by many, a kind, caring, compassionate and generous person, a perfect gentleman You were a loving, devoted husband to Chinwe, and loving father to Obinna, Ikenna, and Nnedi You were a consummate professional. You remained dedicated to your work, which you indeed treated as a calling that it was, till the end……. I will miss your radiant smile, your chuckle, the ‘catch-up’, the banter. The extended Ezeiru family (which we both became part of) will miss you. You will always be in our hearts, never to be forgotten. I know you are in The Lord’s bosom.
